Busted! Report Reveals Established Groups Financed Rent Control Signature Collection, Debunking Tenant Activist Claims of "Grassroots Support" for Ballot Question

During news coverage of our January press conference launching the opposition to the rent control ballot campaign, State House News Service cited statements from rent control supporters who said that their ballot initiative received "grassroots" support, as they allegedly gathered signatures without paid help. However, the publication later released an updated story about the way in which rent control supporters actually received financial support from established organizations, rendering their "grassroots" claims misleading.
